Hi, I’m Chris! I was born and raised in south Florida - spent my college years in Arkansas (and studied abroad in Greece) – and currently reside in Georgia. I have always loved training and started with an old weight set my dad brought home when I was 12. I would read and try to memorize the workouts from the fitness magazines, while waiting in line at the grocery stores.  In high school, I took weightlifting all four years while performing with an acrobatics company. My first “real” job, at 16, was coaching recreational gymnastics and that led me to a job as a junior Olympics gymnastics coach in college.  While coaching, I was working on my Kinesiology degree which allowed me to be able to put that into practice immediately with my team, setting me up to really understand how the body moves.  

After graduating, I moved back to Vero Beach, Florida, where I worked under Chris Gurney, at Elite Physiques, for eight years.  Gurney was the greatest mentor; he took me under his wing and taught me everything that he knew.  I grew so much in that season, forever changing what I wanted to be. My wife, Rachel, and I moved to Georgia in 2017 and fell in love with Lawrenceville.  We decided to open the doors to the Fishery in 2020 and have loved being part of the downtown community.  

 Just like the old parable says, you give a person a fish, they eat for a day… you teach a person to fish, they eat for a lifetime. Our goal is for the Fishery to be a place that teaches wellness.  A place that equips and gives you the tools to continue the journey to becoming the version of yourself you have always wanted to be.
